Day 32 : Queenstown

Today turned out to be one of the best days yet. Weather wise it was stellar so Steph and I decided to take a little stroll along the lake front and enjoy the view from that side of Queenstown.

Shortly after setting off a chap approached us brandishing ‘Free Ice Skating’ vouchers!! We were there within minutes! Practically had the place to ourselves too – total riot & thoroughly chuffed we didn’t fall once 😀

Later on we continued our walk along the lake. At one stretch of the road, in the space of about five minutes, we saw 1) a stray dog proper eye-balling a startled tourist from down the street – real Mexican stand-off material 2) another man casually walking his pet and 3) a tree swing that I couldn’t resist taking a crack at – I’m binning those shoes post haste!

We seem to have this impressive skill of bumping into the weird and wonderful wherever we go.

Later, we grabbed an Indian meal (<3 Bombay Aloo!!) and a cheeky trip to Fergbaker before heading back to the backpackers for more Connect 4 😀
